work, although the copyright © symbol is an essential requirement in some other countries and it
does make clear who the rights owner is. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that you mark
your copyright work clearly with the copyright symbol © followed by your name and the first date
of
publication e.g. © John Smith 2005.
