3.2 Copyright owners' rights and claiming copyright

In addition to those rights recognised under copyright
law (which are economic rights), authors of
works have rights, known as moral rights, which enable protection of the creators personal
interests in relation to their creation. In essence, moral rights give the author of a work the
right to
be recognised as the author (no matter whether the copyright in the work has been disposed of by
the author) and the right not to have the work subjected to derogatory treatment. For more
