2.6.4 Which area of jurisdiction applies when images are downloaded over the Internet from other countries?
The law of the place where the infringement took place
is applied under copyright law. Accordingly,
it is illegal to download/import (i.e. copy) material into the UK which would have been an
infringement of copyright had the copy been made in the UK.
