CORRAL Naval Logbooks
Sharing the adventurous tales of early ocean explorers, through their original logbooks
CARET is working with the CORRAL project (UK Colonial Registers and Royal Navy Logbooks) to create an exciting and educational website about a number of famous voyages, focussed on the captains’s logs. CORRAL is working to image ship’s logbooks of particular historic and scientific value, and to digitise the meteorological observations in those logbooks.
CORRAL is funded by JISC, lead by Dennis Wheeler, and includes the University of Sunderland, the UK Met Office Hadley Centre, and the British Atmospheric Data Centre.
