QUADS
This project is part of the Qualitative Archive Demonstrator Scheme (QUADS) funded by the UK Economic and Social Research Council. Seven archive demonstrator projects were funded from 2006-2007 under the QUADS scheme, including examples from across the Social Sciences. 'Cases and Contexts' is the only one of those projects concerned with Education Research.
The Project
The project has constructed a permanent archive of significant educational evaluations undertaken by members of the Cambridge Conferences on Educational Evaluation, which have been taking place since 1972. In addition it has developed a set of online resources, tools, interfaces and processes to support secondary analysis and other research, teaching and the development of other qualitative archives.
How to Access the Archive (Quick Link for Registered Users)
Currently the archive is hosted within the access-controlled 'CamTools' environment at CARET at the University of Cambridge. If you wish to access this you will need a username and password. Please email Patrick Carmichael (patrick@caret.cam.ac.uk) to request these. If you have problems logging in to the CamTools environment you should email Patrick at the same address.
The CamTools environment also contains more detailed accounts of the work of the project, together with information about the metadata used in the archive, project procedures and protocols and a set of tools which may be of value to others establishing similar archives.
